Our History

Founded on the 30th of October 1959, ACVV Helen Bellinganhof has been a beacon of hope and care in Oudtshoorn for almost 7 decades. What began as a small initiative to care for the elderly has grown into a respected residential facility known for its commitment to excellence and compassion.

Named after Helen Bellingan, a dedicated community worker whose vision was to create a safe, loving home for the elderly, our facility has expanded over the years to meet the growing needs of our community while never losing sight of our founding values.

Today, we stand as a testament to the power of community and the enduring importance of caring for our elders with the dignity they deserve.

Our Vision:

The vision of ACVV Helen Bellinganhof is to serve as a model facility that provides the highest possible standard of care for all vulnerable, destitute elderly individuals, persons with disabilities, and terminal patients. Additionally, it aims to empower students from disadvantaged communities by offering the best possible nursing education, enabling them to become self-sufficient and to pursue further studies.
